Erica has sent us an email with a fantastic idea for a Ocean in a Bottle.

Erica’s Ocean In a Bottle:

Have you always wanted to go to the beach but your not allowed well these days are about to change….

You will need a plastic bottle, blue dye, glitter, sea shells mini, water, sand and plastic creatures.

1. Fill bottle with water half-way and add some sand.

2. Put the lid on and shake then take lid off and add some blue dye.

3. Add some blue, aqua, green or white glitter in as well as adding some plastic gems and plastic sea creatures such as an turtle or fish than add some seashells and put on the lid shake and now you have made and ocean in a bottle!

Why not make your own potions and create spells with them and whisper into the thin air at midnight!!!

Space Jokes from Willow and Chinka

I was sharing Pete’s jokes (from his friends in Iceland) with my good buddy Chinka. Now everyone in the Secret Forest knows Chinka loves a good belly laugh….his laugh is so funny it just brings a smile to your face and it justs makes you want to laugh. You start laughing really, really loud, you get tears in your eyes from laughing and you just can’t stop laughing!

His laughter makes me feel terrific, I alway go home with a big smile on my dial and even hours later I start laughing just thinking about him!

Here are some jokes we thought of for you:

What did the astronaunts say about the 6 legged aliens?

Answer:

Don’t worry their arm-less!

What are aliens favourite food?

Answer:

Human Beans!

Why do witches wear pointy hats?

Answer:
They are great for keeping their heads warm!

Why do witches only ride their brooms at night?

Answer:

That’s the time they go to sweep!

Well Posy, Ringy Ding is a ring tailed possum, so I made up the rhyming name about the rings on his tail!

I was just reading Windermere’s post and it got me thinking about my pet possum, ringy ding. I was sure his birthday was around the same time and yes it turns out it is the exact same day. How funny is that! Ringy Dingy will be 2 this year!

Snakes and Ladders

Well you may have heard the weather has been abit wet and windy here in the Secret Forest, so we have been spending lots of time in the Forest Den. Today I challenged Posy to a game of snakes and ladders, so far I have won 4 out of 6 games, we are going to play the best out of 10. I love this game!

Minutes for the Secret Forest Christmas Meeting:
At the meeting a big discussion was had on where to hold the Christmas Party, what time to have it, what to bring and lots of other important things to make the celebration a great success! All the forest folk came along and the meeting went for 1 hour and 35 minutes.

Details for Christmas Celebration:
Where: Under the Oak Man Tree
When: 25th December 2009, Christmas Day
Time: 12.00 noon
Food: Pudwell Chefs to cook a banquet for the whole forest
Decorations: Posy to decorate the Banquet Table. She will be helped by some of the Secret Forest mini-world – the midlets and gattens.
Music: Dan and Pete to prepare the music and celebration activities.
Presents: Windemere and Willow to organise Christmas gifts.
Christmas Invitations: Fern to make signs and post around the forest to let everyone know about the Christmas party.
Who will be invited: Everyone from the Secret Forest!
