He is a ring tailed possum
Well Posy, Ringy Ding is a ring tailed possum, so I made up the rhyming name about the rings on his tail!

Good Morning everyone, it is a glorious day here in the Secret Forest! I am up bright and early as I am off to Midlets Junction today to catch up with Olsta and Joolan, it has been weeks since I last spoke with them.
When I next see Willow I will have to ask her how she came up with Ringy Ding’s name, I have always wondered about that!
I was just reading Windermere’s post and it got me thinking about my pet possum, ringy ding. I was sure his birthday was around the same time and yes it turns out it is the exact same day. How funny is that! Ringy Dingy will be 2 this year!
There are only a few days left till my birthday, 12th March. I am rather excited as birthdays in the Secret forest are always a tremendous celebration. I have heard on the Forest grapevine something special has been planned for me.
Do you know anyone who shares a birthday with me?
I worry when Pete is travelling away so far and for so long. I’m sure he will be fine but I think I will cast a spell to keep him safe…..
Through unknown lands and across the seas,
I send you protection through the breeze,
May you be safe from harm and despair,
May you find joy in all that you dare,
Be safe and enjoy your adventures my pirate friend,
Till we meet at your journeys end.
I am trying to build a awesome really BIG cupboard for all my music instruments. At the moment they are spread around my home – everywhere! I nearly broke my guitar yesterday, I slipped on my drum stick (yep, it was on the floor) and then went flying across the room and fell on top of my guitar. I now have a big bruise on the side of my arm, so I think it is time to sort my gear out. I have never built anything before, I reckon it will be super cool to give it a go!
I have been thinking about my visit to see my cousins in the UK. Here is my ‘things to remember’ list for my visit to the New Forest.
• A waterproof coat – it rains a lot in the UK!
• Gumboots – they call them Wellies in England!
• A bottle of water – walking can be thirsty work!
• Some food – like sandwiches and fruit to give me energy!
• A current first aid kit – just in case!
• A good map so I don’t get lost – the forest is a big place!
• A whistle – just in case I need to attract someone’s attention if I fall over!
• And an apple or two for the ponies-they love a little treat, so I’m told!
Oh and I will definitely tell my friends in the Secret Forest the exact route to my cousins home, you just can’t be too careful……..now, is there anything else I will need??????
Hi everyone, have you noticed our website looks a bit different? We are making some changes, so keep checking back and let us know what you think.
I just came back from a wonderful stroll, I love nothing better than going for a walk in the rainforest each day. The Secret Forest is part of the rainforest in Northern Australia and that means we have amazing animals that you won’t find in any other rainforests in the world. One of my favourite is the cassowary, I have found out some interesting things about the cassowary for you, click here to read it.
Good Morning everyone. I am thrilled to bits to tell you my news. I am planning to visit my cousins in the United Kingdom (UK) forests in March!
Windermere’s birthday is on the 12th March so I will leave just after that! I have started to write out my list of things I will need to take with me. If you can think of anything let me know. Have a fabulous day!
